DYING BRANCHES IN A RED SPRUCE CROWN

Dead, reddish brown needles on a few limbs is one of the first visible signs that this red spruce tree is likely to decline and die as other nearby trees already have (see photo).

Hemlock are also starting to show similar dying and browning of needles on individual limbs. (see photo)
